Dreamkus and More

Dreamkus (dream-kooz) are haikus from our dreams, but this site is open to other short free-form verse too. Think of this as your secret playground for short poetry. Your thoughts are bits of nourishment to the poetic minds reading and playing along with you!

Here are some categories:

Dreamku- a roughly or exactly 5-7-5 syllable summary of your dream or someone else's

Dayku- a haiku about something other than a dream

Tanka- another form of Japanese poetry, the tanka is roughly 5-7-5-7-7, these can be dreams or not dreams.

Un-ku- a little thought-bubble about something else, not in any particular form, from a dream or otherwise, any short random poemish thing you like

Guest-ku- Have you seen a great haiku, tanka, or short poem by someone else? Be sure to credit the author.

Technical details: Please use your first name (real or imaginary) to label your piece (in the lower right corner "labels" field), and include a label for the category in which you are posting, so that we can view them as a group later. If your piece might belong in more than one category, use them all. Think of a new category? Create a label for it!
